When is the festival held each year?

Every year the festival is scheduled to take place the weekend before Thanksgiving.

When did the festival begin?

The festival was first created in 1986 as an attraction to our Historic Springboro District.


What is the purpose of Christmas in Springboro?

To offer a family friendly event in the beautiful downtown Historic Springboro District. The festival provides shopping from local shops along main street in addition to multiple craft vendor tents, great food from a variety of local food trucks. entertainment from local performance groups in the community and Springboro School, a Parade, 5k Fun Walk/Run and great activities for the kids.


Who organizes The Festival?

The festival is hosting by Springboro Festivals Inc which is part of the Springboro Community Foundation (501c3). We are a committee made up of about 10 volunteers who works year-round to plan for each year. Please visit our Festival Officials and Committee pages. 


How does Christmas in Springboro benefit the community?

Our goal each year to is to the proceeds from the festival and donate back to local charities in our community. Some of those charities include the Springboro, Community Assistance Center, The Pantry serving Franklin, Springboro and Carlisle and Operation Santa through the Springboro Police Department. The committee is dedicated to annually increasing the amount we can give back to our community.


How much do the activities inside the Children’s Tent cost?

All activities within the children’s tent are complimentary to attendees.

Can we bring dogs?

Yes, as long as they are on a leash and you clean up after them.


Will there be an ATM?

Yes, the ATM is located by the Information Tent on the corner of State Street and Main Street.


Do food vendor accept Credit Card?

As many of the vendors will accept credit card not all of them have the capability. Please be prepared for multiple payment methods.


Where can I find Santa?

Santa will be scheduled at various times in the Children’s Tent, please check the schedule for assigned times. You will also often find him roaming the street stopping for photos.


Can we have strollers and pets in the 5k?

Yes, we just ask that you start back behind those who are running. Again you are responsible to clean up after your pets.


Where can you park?

There is no official festival parking, you can park on the side neighborhood streets but please be mindful of private property.

Here are a few locations that we suggest:

  • Springboro Baptist Church (Mill St.) – open parking
  • United Church of Christ (Mill St) – Paid parking, donations are collected to support the church youth group
  • Springboro Intermediate School – will have open parking Friday evening and Saturday/Sunday after 12:30 pm
  • Springboro Christian Church (On 741) – will have open parking Friday evening and Saturday/Sunday after 12:30 pm
  • Clearcreek Elementary – will have open parking Friday evening and Saturday/Sunday after 12:30 pm
  • Fraternal Order of the Eagles (Corner of East St. & Main) – Paid Parking, donations go to the Springboro Eagles Scholarship Foundation
